Season 2 is the Vengeance. Spartacus seeks vengeance against the man that brought his wife to slavery and later resulting to her death. Spartacus is also finding ways to keep his army from breaking apart as some are losing hope to survive the battle against the well equipped opponents. In season 2, it continues with the bloody fearless battle, shocking sexuality, unending violence and unrecognized acts of heroism. This tale, the sacrifices and bravery of the Thracian are captures; it also tackles the greed, deception and defeat of those in power. This is an overview of the upcoming Season 2 scheduled to be aired early 2012.

Spartacus Season 2 will go out of the gladiator arena after the slaves fled after Batiatus met his end on the Lodus bloodbath. Lucretia survived and will remain a seductive villain, a character that viewers looked forward each episode. Some viewers are guessing that Lucretia will be a changed woman that is if he learned a valuable lesson after the bloodbath. Lucretia might have survived a woman but leave the viewers guessing if what her state of mind is or if surviving the ordeal makes her happy. What is the effect on her after something precious to her life were taken away, she might unleash the demons from hell and seek revenge from those who killed Batiatus. With Batiatus left in the bloody Ludus battle, where will the story goes and what about the heroes and villains? What ever new twist to the characters will surely excite the viewers as a result of brilliant ideas and historical research of the writers. Season 2 took some historical key events so as to play more with each characters of the story. The intriguing controversies during the Ancient Rome will surely raise several issues with the historians and Romans. For in the Season 2, violent people will be in the loose raping women and slaughtering children, stealing from people and endless violence shocking to the society.

In the process of producing "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" Season 2. In as much as the original lead actor Andy Whitfield will not be available for health reasons, a new face will breathe life to the character of Spartacus. Devoted fans of Blood and Sand are setting their eyes on Season 2 as a more bloody series. With another actor taking over the title role of Spartacus as the original actor in Season 1 is undergoing cancer treatment.  And if the filming will be on schedule, "Spartacus: Blood and Sand" Season 2 will be aired early 2012. That means we have something to look forward to next year, because we will be able again be able to watch Spartacus online. But his time it will be the Season 2.
